We can produce books in a traditional manner, or we can work with the author team to put the lion’s share of profits where they rightfully belong—with the author and the creative team behind each publication. In so doing, we start to redefine the traditional roles of author and publisher.

Not every title is appropriate for Protean Press. Not a vanity press, where an author pays to self-publish and all authors are welcome, we select to publish only those books we believe meet a market need. We enable authors to access the global book market through the internet, trade shows, and a blend of online and terrestrial distribution platforms.
